SUMMER 2009 COMMUNITY EVENTS

Butcherknife Climbing  /  Every Wednesday  /  6:15 pm – 8 ish
Got shoes and a harness? Complain that none of your friends will go with you? Here’s your chance. Steamboat Climbing Community (SCC) handles the ropes and setup. Come meet some other local climbers. Equipment available to rent at RMV kiosk. Meet at Butcherknife Park.
Sunday, July 12th  /  Cougar Trail/Climb Day  /  9am-?
We will be heading up to Cougar Rocks to do some trail work, replace chains, and then do some climbing! Cougar crag is off of Seedhouse Road on Forest Service Road 430 and offers single pitch trad and sport climbs up to 90 ft tall. All climbs can be top-roped. All are welcome. Call for more directions or info.
Sunday, July 19th  /  Hole in the Wall Trail/Climb Day  /  9am-?
We will be heading up to Hole in the Wall Canyon to do some trail work (it has gotten bad with all the fallen trees) and then do some climbing! Hole in the Wall Canyon is off of Seedhouse Road on The North Fork trail and offers single pitch sport climbs and 1-3 pitch trad routes up 250 ft tall. Some climbs can be top-roped. All are welcome. Call for more directions or info.

Saturday, August  1st  /  The Sarvis Dome Trail/Climb Day  /  9am-?
We will be heading up to the Savis Dome to do some trail work (lots of the fallen trees) and then do some climbing! The Sarvis Dome is off of HWY 40 on Buffalo Park Road and offers single pitch sport climbs and 1-4 pitch trad routes up 450 ft tall. No climbs can be top-roped. All are welcome. Call for more directions or info.
