We take all levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced; kids (ages 6+) and adults. All climbing equipment is provided as well as instruction and guiding. Trips can be recreational climbing or instructional clinics; whatever the client prefers. Lunch provided by Backcountry Provisions for full day trips only.
We use many different Top-Rope climbing locations surrounding the Steamboat area. Top-Rope climbing means the rope is attached to the climber and then goes up through bolted anchors at the top and then down to the guide who holds the other end of the rope and belays the climber. He/she is always attached to the rope. It's similar to the indoor climbing gym rope system. The climbs' height varies from 25 feet to 60 feet. (except for the multi – pitch advanced climbing areas which can be as high as 450 feet.) The climber does not have to climb all the way to the top. They can be lowered back down at any time they choose. The hiking time from where you park to each climbing location varies from only 5 minutes at the beginner location, to about 20 minutes at the advanced areas. Intro to Rock Half Day: 8am-12pm / 1pm-5pm Location: Harrison Creek / Blob Rock Cost: Private $180 2 People $100/person 3-5 People $75/person 6+ People $65/person
