We provide: snowshoes, poles, water bottles, and day pack and snack of hot tea and cookies. Lunch is included on all day trips.

Guides carry: First aid kit, extra hat, gloves, cell phone, maps, compass, binoculars, sunscreen, duct tape, and more.

Transportation: Transportation included. We will pick up the guest at their condo / hotel. (within town and the mountain area) or you may meet us at our shop on 5th and Lincoln Ave dowtown Steamboat Springs.

You should bring: Hiking boots, hat, sunglasses, camera.

How to dress: It is best to dress in layers. Start with a poly-pro or similar material, long underwear layer. Depending on the temperature you will generally have one or two additional clothing layers made of thin to medium thickness "breathable" material. Always bring a good quality water proof or water resistant parka. the Snowshoeing is a vigorous aerobic activity and it will warm you up even on the coldest day.

 SNOWSHOE TOUR INFORMATION
½ Day SNOWSHOE TOURS are appx. 3 hrs. long, (actual snowshoeing about 2 - 2 ½ hrs.) and depart at either 8:00 AM, or 1:00 PM
Our half day tour is our most popular. We usually go to Blacktail Mountain (Lake Catamount), or areas on Rabbit Ears Pass.
Cost: $ 90 / person for groups of 2 – 5 people.
$ 150 for a private ( 1 Person ) tour.
All Day SNOWSHOE TOURS depart at 9:00 and return appx 3:30 PM, lunch is included
We have a number of different locations to choose from, depending on weather conditions, physical ability of client, and client preferences. i.e. Rabbit Ears Pass, Blacktail Mtn (Lake Catamount), Fish Creek Falls, Mt. Zirkel Wilderness. We have igloos built on some trips that are great places to warm up and have a snack.

    FULL MOON SHOE
On the 2 days prior, 2 days after, and actual day ( 5 nights) of the Full Moon, we offer a wonderful night time tour on our Blacktail Mountain tour. We usually stop and have hot tea or cider before our return( BYOB is permitted). We will pick the guest up at their condo / hotel at 6:00 PM and return appx. at 9:00 PM. Flashlights also provided. Weather permitting.

Cancellation Policy: RMV must receive at least 48 hours advance notice to receive a full refund. Less than 48 hours notice or no notice at all, we will charge their credit card for the total trip cost,(unless we can fill the trip, which we always try to do ).
