 Tour Locations: Rabbit Ears Pass has mainly groomed trails as wells as backcountry loops to explore. Blacktail Mountain in Pleasant Valley has a private trail that meanders through peaceful aspen and pine groves along a ridge above the Yampa river.

Tour location and length depends on weather conditions, physical ability and client preference. We have igloos built on some trails that are great places to warm up and have a snack. Tours include a hot drink and cookies. Fresh sandwiches are provided by Backcountry Provisions on full day snowshoe tours.
Equipment: Insulated and waterproof boots are required and can be provided. Snowshoes, poles, backpacks, snack and thermos provided. Dress warm, as if you were going skiing or snowboarding, with layers you can add or shed.
Times may vary. For snowshoe trips, we can provide transportation from our downtown location (kiosk on the corner of 5th and Lincoln, in front of Mahogany Ridge restaurant), or clients can follow in their own vehicles. Cancellation Policy: RMV must receive at least 48 hours notice for full refund. Less then 48 hours notice or no notice at all – we will charge the credit card for the total trip cost.
